“What a great time it was to serve God and His children at Children’s Fellowship on July 28, 2019. I was very thankful for the service of all the helpers too! At Children’s Fellowship we learned about prayer. Our focus was on Philippians 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Audrey began our fellowship by explaining to the children that what Philippians 4:6 is telling us – how we can go to God with our petitions; that we don’t have to be anxious or worried, and that we can be thankful to God for all He does for us. She reminded us that even on days that aren't so great, we still have so much to be thankful for. Audrey showed us that just like children go to their parents without hesitation when they need something, we can go to God and not hold anything back. She also shared a little about how she was recently healed by God and how healing is one of the things we can ask God for. Our help comes from God who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2) – what an amazing reminder!

Later we had another teaching where we learned more about how to pray and that we can pour out our whole hearts to God. We also learned that we can go to God in the name of Jesus Christ . His name is powerful and his accomplishments allow for every born again one to have access to God for answered prayer. We looked at Acts 3 where the lame man was healed and Peter declared that it was not by his own power or holiness, but it was through believing in the accomplishments of Jesus Christ.

Among many other things we did, we made prayer list bookmarks with photographs of each child's family members. We decorated the bookmarks and laminated them so they could take them home to pray for their family.

I’m always very thankful for my time with the children, serving together, and learning God’s Word.”

2019 Florida Spring Advance Highlights by Judy Monteilh

It was so wonderful to be at the Spring Advance again. There was an abundance of God’s Word, there was great peace that passes understanding, there was such incredible joy fellowshipping and breaking bread with like-minded believers. How thankful I was to spend time with the family. I found it to be the most tender and delivering of all Advances yet, reminding me we are moving on to higher ground and looking forward to our Lord's return.  I loved hearing practical keys to living God’s Word and hearing about men who so loved, respected  adored, esteemed and reverenced God.

This year at the 2019 Spring Advance I had the wonderful joy of helping with Children’s Fellowship. I have to say that Children’s Fellowship really was a BLAST! From the tremendous Word being taught, to the so lovingly thought out activities. What really blessed me about the activities was that they weren’t just fun “fillers” to keep the kids occupied. They were designed to reinforce what they had learned from God’s Word and to help them start putting it into practice!

The theme for Children’s Fellowship was Obedience to God, along with the Theme Verse Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

We also got to learn about three of my favorite Old Testament believers in Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! Who, when coming face to face with the most powerful idolatrous king of their time, refused to disobey the commandments of God! Well, God delivered them from the hand of the king, so much so that King Nebuchadnezzar himself said In Daniel 3:28 “…Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.” And in Verse 29 ”…there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.”

It was so cool hearing the kids talk about the things they learned throughout the weekend and it’s so wonderful getting to see these awesome little believers learn and grow in God’s Word! I can’t wait for next year!

“What did you learn about in Children’s Fellowship?”
”They went in the fiery furnace!”
”Why did God’s Word say those believers were thrown in the fiery furnace?”
”Because they had the real God, and everyone else had the fake god. But they had the real God. And they didn’t die! God saved them! They didn’t even smell like smoke!”

2019 Spring Advance Highlights by Michael Wood

On Saturday at the Advance, there were a few believers that shared some very personal examples of putting God and His Word first in their lives, of fully putting their trust in God. These were wonderful believers that I have always admired for their walk with our Father, not knowing the personal struggles they had dealt with. Some wanting a partner to walk with, some needing miracles, some wanting children, and all needing deliverance. Throughout all of these sharings there was one common theme, they had to take a stand and put God and His Word first above all other things. By listening to each and every one of them you could hear the sincerity of the hardships they endured, for the world tried to fill their hearts with doubts, fears, and, worries. But, by committing their lives to the Word of God and trusting wholeheartedly in our Heavenly Father, they persisted though the hard times in their lives. They saw deliverance in their lives where they had want and need. This showed me what it means to fully commit to God and to go to His Word wholeheartedly, not out of obligation but with a desire to know our Father. And not just to know the Word, but to fully believe it in my heart.
